The Blue Bus is pleased to present a poetry and music event, including readings by Harriet Tarlo and James Harvey and music by Ken White (guitar) and David Miller (clarinet).
Harriet Tarlo is a poet and academic whose books include Love/Land (REM Press, 2003), Poems 1990-2003 (Shearsman Books, 2004) and Nab (Etruscan Books, 2005). Her interests include open form poetics, gender and ecopoetics. Recent critical and creative work appears in Pilot, Jacket, Rampike, English and the Journal of Ecocriticism (JoE) and she also edited the recent How2 special feature on eco-poetics.
James Harvey’s publications are the one poem book Mackerelling (Intercapillary Editions, 2009), e-pamphlet Parts Composers (Openned, 2009), broadsheet From Marx’s Capital (Kater Murr’s Press, 2009) and chapbook Temporary Structures (Veer, 2009).
Ken White lives in Melbourne, Australia, where he is a well known jazz guitarist. He is also a painter and has exhibited his paintings in Australia and also in Scotland. David Miller has played clarinet in The Mind Shop (with Armorel Weston and John Gibbens) for some years, as well as with Ken White and occasionally as a solo musician or in other duos. He is a poet and fiction writer, whose books include The Waters of Marah (Shearsman), The Dorothy and Benno Stories (Reality Street) and Spiritual Letters (Series 1-5) (Chax Press, forthcoming).
