Headliner Joe Stretch is as well-known as the author of two acclaimed novels, Friction (2008) and Wildlife (2009), as he is as frontman of Manchester band Performance. He's currently working on his third novel, One Hit Wonder, and Performance's second album is available this year.
Joe will be joined on the night by Emily Morris, who has won two 2009 Manchester Blog Awards for 'My Shitty Twenties', her blog about life as a single parent, which one of the judges described as "Moving, thoughtful, funny and wise. Sometimes heartbreaking, always uplifting."
As well as her blog, she writes short fiction and she is currently working on her first book, a young adult novel.
Blackpool's David Riley is a writer of drama and fiction who in 2009 won the one-act play competition organised with the Grand Theatre Blackpool. His 10 minute play, "One Last Time," is about love - with a twist. It's performed by David and his daughter Emily.
As if all this weren't enough, Robert and Adam, the brains behind Preston arts and photography magazine Preston is My Paris and the newly-llaunched not for profit PPP publishing imprint (see event Jan 28th), will be showcasing the best fiction and poetry submissions for issue 7 of their magazine.
