Three Irish poets in the inaugural reading for the Spring Literary Festival, themed 'Dinnsheanchas: The Lore of Place'. O'Donoghue, winner of the 2009 Cholmondeley Award, is a poet and literary critic whose most recent works include a verse translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (2006) and a Selected Poems (2009). O'Connell is editor of The Cork Literary Review and a poet, whose most recent collection is Diviner (2009). Smyth is a poet, Aosdána member and a journalist for The Irish Times. His Selected Poems will be published this year.
Before the reading, the winner of the Gregory O'Donoghue Prize will be announced, along with a reading from the prize-winning poet.
Entry: FREE with a suggested donation of €5
