Word of Mouth is an evening of storytelling in verse, song and prose and also aims to provide a forum for artists in a relaxed atmosphere.
This month's performers include: Lucy English, performance poet and lecturer at the Creative Writing Course at Bath Spa University. She recently launched a new collection of work called Why I'm Here.
Davey Woodward, a rare 'unplugged' appearance by one of the most original pop lyricists of recent years. Tonight he performs a stripped down set with guitar and drums.
and Nicholas Law, author of the brilliant and bawdy The Villainous Bartholomew Rakehell (Tangent Books) a book that uses the language of the late 18th Century yet is accessible to all. Humorous, full of adventure and ideal for lovers of the English language and fans of swashbuckling yarns alike. Nicholas Law will perform the third part of the Rakehell trilogy, The Mermaid of Bristol, for the first time in public.
