As Central Library approaches its temporary closure, this event will celebrate its splendid history and mark what is definitely - the end of an era....
Hosted by Manchester's own MIKE GARRY, writers, poets & musicians come together to say goodbye (for now!) to one of the best-loved and most famous
buildings in the city. One of Britain's best contemporary poets SEAN O'BRIEN, winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize, is joined by novelist & BAFTA nominated screenwriter JANE ROGERS and novelist & master of the unsettling short story, NICHOLAS ROYLE. We are very grateful to COMMA PRESS for their help & support with this event.
There will be contributions from many Manchester writers, celebrating not only Central Library, but books, libraries and the love of reading.
PLUS glorious music from klezmer band THE DELIBABIES and string quartet THE DEANSGATE ENSEMBLE.
Entry: Free
