Out of Step bring their second spoken word benefit to Pages of Hackney, this time to raise money for No Sweat, a rather excellent anti-sweatshop organisation dedicated to international worker's solidarity.
We have an inspired line up of poets, featuring:
DAVE PEPPER
In this event organiser's opinion, possibly the best performance poet in the UK. Inspirational energy, beautiful stories and amazing acapella songs. Sheer genius.
PETE THE TEMP
Brilliant political comedy poet, with a geniunely unique vision and incredibly rapport with his audiences. Warm, funny and totally endearing.
DANNY CHIVERS
Likewise a political comedy poet, Danny is also an activist working predominently with Climate Camp. He's hilarious, outrageous, invigorating and challenging. Fantastic.
BRENDAN PICKETT
Enter the mischievious, weird world of Mr. Pickett, who will be weaving his sci-fi inspired cut up poetry for your raptured attention. A marvellous wordsmith.
And, if that weren't enough, it will be all be compered by poetry's thorn-in-the-side CAPTAIN OF THE RANT with passion and a graceless lack of tact with the volume of his voice.
Super.
