Manchester's Poets & Players and Whitworth Art Gallery present A Family Poetry Day with David Horner.

Poetry Workshops: 10.45-11.45 (for 7-11 years)
12-1pm (12-16 years)
Performance: 2.30pm

Poets and Players, www.poetsandplayers.co.uk, in partnership with the Whitworth Art Gallery, www.whitworth.manchester.ac.uk, present our first Family Poetry Day with David Horner, the children's poet and performer.

In the morning, David will lead two workshops, one hour each: 10.45 (for kids 7-11) At 12 noon (for kids 12-16)

At 2.30pm, Poets & Players will host a performance of poetry and music for families with David Horner and percussion music by our musical director, Chris Davies, with Patrick Seldon and Sue Ferner.

David Horner has visited around five hundred schools and has worked with higher education students/lecturers, librarians and community workers. He has an MA in Creative Writing, Lancaster University and broadcasts on BBC local and national radio and television. Ten books published, the latest being The Buried Vest of...David Horner (2007)
