Deciphering the Alhambra
Ibn Arabi was born in Murcia, Spain in 1165 and died in Damascus in 1240. He was one of the greatest Islamic mystics, whose philosophical ideas still permeate our thinking today. This concert is a musical setting of a series of poems from The Interpreter of Desires, a summary of the thoughts of this great Sufi thinker, known by Muslims as "the great Master".
