A series of boutique, back-to-basics poetry events. Each poet will perform for 30 mins or so with a short break in the middle. This month 'The Norwich Poetry Club' presents two poets to warm the cockles:
Niall O’Sullivan(London) was born in Slough of Irish parents back in the seventies. He studied Art in Bath, dropped out and spent the next decade working as a landscape gardener before involving himself full time in London’s poetry scene. He acts as ring-master for The Poetry Place’s Unplugged – London’s best known open mic session. He was highly commended by the Forward Prize for his poem “The Father in Law” which appeared in the 2009 Forward Book of Poetry. He has two collections both published by Waterways.
Molly Naylor(Norwich) is a poet, puppeteer, scriptwriter and educator. She graduated from the UEA with a Masters in Creative Writing in 2008. Her poems have been featured on BBC Radio and she has performed at a variety of festivals and events in the UK and internationally. She is taking her new solo spoken word show – Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think Of You – to the Edinburgh Fringe this year, which will proceed a nationwide tour.
