“nothing as important as poetry”
6pm- 8pm: is a free workshop for anyone to drop in. You don’t need to have any experience of writing poetry. Just come along and have a go. A chance to get together and be creative. We will be looking at the poetry of Hafez.
8pm – 10pm: poetry performance and open mike
Guest Poet- Ed Kangai . “I’ve been playing at poetry for some years and see-saw between thinking poetry is one of the most important of the arts, and that it’s the most important! …I realise one must be as good as one can in whatever artistic style the muse has dictated.”
Open mike poetry slot - bring a poem by Hafez to read out. You can read out one of your own poems or just come and listen to poetry. Musicians also very welcome.
Come celebrate the 1st birthday of “Hard Rain” poetry
