"In the beginning" In our first workshop “In the beginning…” we looked at simplicity and how revealing it can be. Our second workshop is an adventure! It will take us further on our individual quests to write a good poem.
We will look closely at poems by Gillian Clarke, Jack Gilbert, Alice Oswald and Jacob Polley. In each of the poems chosen, the poet either explores the “history beyond” the object written about, or examines all of the possible ways of looking at it. We will do some simple writing exercises to help us achieve something similar in our own poems.
This workshop will be a “brown bag” workshop – bring your own sandwich for lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided at both venues.
Price: £15.00
Time: 12:00pm
