“What do we carry forward with us? What do we leave behind? It's an identity thing - a celebration, an examination, a critique, and anything else in between”. Jacob Sam-La Rose
Join us for this evening of delicious poetry and prose, where some of London’s top writers give their own take on Looking Back, Looking Forward.
Hosted by poet Jacob Sam-La Rose, the current writer-in-residence for Kensington and Chelsea, the evening includes readings by poet Malika Booker and novelist Anthony Joseph. They are joined by Bidisha, journalist and novelist who won critical acclaim with her first novel at 18 and MC/singer Sarah Sayeed who has performed with Speech DeBelle and Ms Dynamite.
This event, in partnership with Spread the Word, is part of Across the Street, Around the World, London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s three- week celebration of arts and culture.
