INK is a two-day festival showcasing the North East's finest new writing talent. It comprises of two nights of rehearsed readings of short stories, mini plays and poetry. The next INK festival will be taking place on the 18th and 19th November at the Mixer (Upstairs at the British Legion in West Jesmond).

INK festival is currently accepting submissions. The entry requirements are as follows:

Plays - should have a running time of no more than 15 minutes and with no more than 4 characters
Short stories - have a word limit of 2,000
Poetry - should be suitable for performance and can be submitted in any language.

Entries must not have been published or performed previously.
There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
Winners will have their entries performed during the festival and receive free entry to the event.

Please email all entries to inkfestival@hotmail.co.uk including your name and contact details.

In submitting work you agree for it to be performed by an actor/reader of our choice during the festival.

Poets may be given the option to read their own work but this will not be obligatory.

There are no restrictions on theme or genre.
