The contest to find this year's Ayrshire Slam Champ is on. Rhymers, rappers and rhapsodists welcome. Purveyors of verse blank, verse blue or verse bleezin - all are welcome to take part.
Everyone will go up to the mic twice. For three minutes each time. Judges will score for poem, for performance and for audience reaction. The three highest scorers go into the final on the night. There they will have three more minutes to perform the poem that will win them the glory, the fame, the laurels of the victor ... and a small amount of money!
The winner will also qualify to take part in the Scottish Slam Championships at The Mitchell Theatre on March 4.
