The Liver Bards' open-mic nights take place on the first Tuesday of each month in the beautiful basement performance space of The Shipping Forecast bar in Slater Street, Liverpool city centre.
Poets are invited to turn to read from 8pm.
Organisers Steve Regan and Ieuan Cilgwri say they particularly want to attract poets with humorous, spiritual and philosophical material.
Admission is free.
