Finally, OpenMind have come back... to... MANCHESTER!

Wrestling referencing aside, we are pleased to announce an agreement with Sandbar to home the OpenMind events.

We've got a cracking line up to make sure OpenMind gets bigger and better in its new home.

First off we'll have Steph Pike poet, a poet we've admired for her strong political poetry for some time and who has quickly become a regular at our OpenMind events, we look forward to her 1st guest set.

Then we will have the Foolish Rogues, after impressing the OpenMind Collective and audience alike with their OpenSpace performance in January they have been rewarded with an extended guest slot. It's illusionary magic and dance at its best and is not to be missed.

Following that we'll have Tom George performing a mixed set of acoustic guitar/singing along with poetry. After finding him on Write Out Loud and seeing him at Greenroom's Freed Up I'm confident our OpenMind audience will enjoy his stuff too.

Making their OpenMind debut is Liverpool based Punk Rock band Deadsounds, contrary to their name their music really makes you feel alive and is full of energy, pace and explosive lyrics.

After a short break Sarah Miller will be sharing some new theatrical ideas as our OpenMind headliner. Watch this space to see the online pre-show Q+A from Sarah where she'll share her background in theatre and an outline of her creative process.

There will be another short break after which we'll also have our OpenSpace, which under its new format will be 1 hour long with 10 performance slots.

After the OpenSpace OpenMind will present their new format... ten minutes chaos - an improv session where the OpenMind collective will perform scenes, poetry, hip hop and improvised performance based on audience suggestions. Anyone who brings props to help us with ten minutes chaos will get a membership card on the house.

Then our master of ceremonies will formally end the evening, thank our guests, headliners and OpenSpacers, and plug the April showcase event with some very special guests.
