Open Mic Event
Stuck for what to do 7th April? Only plans so far involve washing your hair, or your cat, or your cat's hair? Well this is far more exciting. Get yourself to Bolton School Arts Centre for an Open Mic of poets and singer / songwriters hosted by Anna McCrory followed by Luke Wright's Cynical Ballads (more information below)
Anyone (even a little bit) interested in performing original poetry or music in the open mic section please get in touch with Anna either on Facebook, by email (annarosemccrory@hotmail.com) or by phone (079541418440) to sort out a slot (It'll be fun, honestly!)
It promises to be an amazing evening so you should hurry up and buy a ticket! =]
Tickets are available from Bolton School Library - if you're at school just go and see Mrs Frew, if you're not the ring Bolton School 01204 840 201 and ask for the Girls' Library.
Luke Wright has been hailed as performance poetry's key revivalist. He is a regular on BBC Radio 4's Sony Award-winning Saturday Live and wrote the Grierson Award-nominated Seven Ages of Love for Channel 4.
