Elaine Feinstein is a prize-winning poet, novelist, playwright and biographer.
She has written fifteen novels, many radio plays and television dramas. Her first novel, The Circle (1970) was nominated for the ‘lost’ Man Booker prize in 2010. Her five biographies include ‘Ted Hughes, The Life of a Poet’, whilst her radio writing includes dramatizations of women in the novels of D.H. Lawrence.
Her 2010 collection of poetry ‘Cities’ was described by The Guardian as ‘a unique project, a memoir through the lens of remembered cities.’
Elaine will read from her work and discuss her long and distinguished career.
