Poetry Island @ The Blue Walnut

Chris Brooks presents an evening of passionate, cutting-edge and, at times, side-splittingly funny performance poetry. The evening will feature a diverse range of poetic voices from across the South West including ‘special guest headliner’ Tim King.

Tim King is one of the truly exciting acts on the local performance poetry scene.

A man of many talents, he is a performance poet, expert web builder, fashion refusenik, dodgy singer,
reluctant gardener and part-time artist’s assistant. In the early 1980’s he toured the UK as the wordier half of folk/punk/pop due Tooth ‘n’ Nail. He also wrote and sang for indie band the Notleys.

Tim’s excellent first edition of poems, ‘Multiple Thin Coats’ has been received by the poetry community with great enthusiasm.
