D.S. Marriott was born in Nottingham 1963 of Jamaican parentage and was educated at the University of Sussex. He has taught there and now teaches at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

John Matthias is revisiting Cambridge from the University of Notre Dame, where he co-edits Notre Dame Review. He has published some twenty-five books of poetry, translation, collaboration, scholarship, and literary criticism.

Richard Berengarten (formerly Burns) was born in London in 1943, into a family of musicians. He has lived in Italy, Greece, the USA and former Yugoslavia. His perspectives as a poet combine English, French, Mediterranean, Jewish, Slavic, American and Oriental influences.
