ANTI-AUSTERITY POETRY: a new and internationally-minded event in London marks its debut with 5 exceptionally-gifted poets:

Niall McDevitt / Stephen Watts / Ziba Karbassi and introducing Khin Aung Aye / Ko Ko Thett join leading poets from Ireland / England / Iran and Burma to celebrate everything from free speech to international translation to anti-miserablism in an event sponsored by The Wolf poetry magazine.

This event will include a launch of 200 haiku in response to David Cameron and the Conservative Party plus poets from Burma who have flown in especially for this event to read excerpts from an anthology of Burmese poetry. Not to be missed!

This is a new and occasional series that will promote modern and experimental poetry from writers around the world, often endorsing poets who are politically and socially aware from countries that have suffered from oppressive regimes.

Please arrive early. Limited seating. RSVP via Facebook or email to jamesbyrne77@gmail.com (Title: Anti-Austerity.) Hosted by James Byrne.

Price: £5.00

Time: 8:00pm
