For one night only, Valley Press presents a complete reading of Jamie McGarry's third collection of poetry, The Dead Snail Diaries.
Already a somewhat unique book (to say the least), the live version adds further layers to the extraordinary story of a man, a shoe and a snail, with topics covered including the unhealthy relationship between snails and slugs, details of the fruitless pursuit that is snail speed dating, and the psychological mindset needed to become a snail-racing champion.
The poet will be joined in this task by distinguished local writers Felix Hodcroft and Catherine Boddy.
