An entertaining evening of performance poetry featuring perfomances by several published local poets and writers, following with an open mic session for budding poets who wish to recite their work to a friendly audience. Featuring:
Emma Purshouse: performance poet from Wolverhampton & Winner of the Much Wenlock Poetry Slam 2011.
Paul Hayden is a new, up and coming author and poet who has recently celebrated his first published, poetry book called My Little Book Of Big Bugbears, which a collection of Nursery Rhymes for grumpy grown ups.
Nadia Kingsley: part of Bridgnorth Writers Group
Since completing her art degree in 2001 Nadia Kingsley has written poetry and carried out conservation work, including recording for butterfly conservation.
Jeff Phelps’s stories and poetry have been widely published, notably in London Magazine and Critical Quarterly.
Paul Francis has lived in Much Wenlock for thirty years, performing at a range of venues. Various Forms was launched at the Wenlock Poetry Festival last year.
Theo Theobald: stand up crossed with a poet and finalist of the Much Wenlock Poetry Slam 201.
Brenda Read-Brown: intelligent & thought provoking poetry.
Simon Lee: dry wit with deadpan delivery, Simon's poems tackle the pressing issues of today, including why we should love lawyers, why tax is sexy, and why we need more modern-day superheroes.
David Bingham - lively performance poetry.
