Lineage: Voice, Home and the Long View

This event on 24th September 2011 at 10:00 has past.

Contact: voices@live.co.uk

This is a writing workshop run by Sarah Hymas to explore how our ancestors are still alive in us, how their environment shaped them, and what this gives us (or not) in the way of identity and security as inhabitants of the 21st century. There'll be exercises and discussion to stretch your imagination, memory and notions of who your ancestors are. Sarah has written an extended sequence on four generations of her family, charting its domestic, political and social change through the 20th century.
