Chill Pill (one of London's biggest Spoken Word showcases) is BACK at Soho Theatre on the 4th Oct with more performers on the cutting edge of underground poetry!
As well as performances from the regular Chill Pill poets we'll hear from...
Sabrina Mahfouz - Featured at Edinburgh Fringe Festival with rave reviews and Southbank's Underbelly with her show Dry Ice (4 Stars - The Times) comes to be our next Chill Pill headline poet. An engaging and eccentric performer known for h...er quirky narratives and wildly amusing characters. An important performer on the London Spoken Word Circuit.
Anthony Anaxagorou (W/ LIVE BAND) - Toured with rapper Akala and has sold more books than any self-published poet I know. Anthony is fierce on stage with brutal honesty and captivating presence. His poetry deals with a hard to stomach reality and comments on social injustice and systemised oppression through well crafted poetic narratives. Another important performer and one to watch.
Anna Le - Host/Curator of poetry night Sage & Time. Managed to make a big impression on the Spoken Word scene in such a short amount of time. Her work is lyrical and at times surreal. An up and coming name.
Sonority Turner - Performed at this years Southbank London Literature Festival as well as The Keats House Festival. Sonority is a young poet from London. Writes poetic tales of London, family relationships and her love of music.
