Poets in the Pub - Halloween Special
This event on 31st October 2011 has past.
Open Mic Event
Contact: michael@therowanartsproject.com
An event to bring poets together, to meet and hear each other's work. With special guests poet Niall O'Sullivan and magician Joe Raine.
Niall O’Sullivan has performed poetry all over the UK and Europe since 1997. He has released three collections with Flipped Eye, the latest being 2010's Sonnet Hack. In 2009, Niall featured on BBC Radio and Television as he wrote and performed poems for the Wimbledon Championships. He runs Poetry Unplugged, London’s premier weekly open mic.
We are also delighted to have magician Joe Raine along to close out the night for us. He tells us Halloween is the day on which Houdini died but we’ve told him we’d be more than happy with a few card tricks.
Open-mic: Email michael@therowanartsproject.com to book a 5 min slot in advance or just turn up on the night. In the spirit of All Hallows Eve, spooky, creepy poems are welcome but by no means obligatory.
This event is curated by poet and musician Michael Clift.
Entry: £3 on the door (poets) £5 (audience)
Time: 7:00pm for 7:30pm
Note: Write Out Loud does its best to ensure the accuracy of event listings but can accept no liability or responsibility if it's just plain wrong.
