THE SHIVERS are a rock-pop group, based out of Queens, New York, comprising the talents of Keith Zarriello (lead vocals, guitar) and Jo Schornikow (vocals, keys/organ).
Keith is your typical East Coast American tortured neurotic / love-lorn romantic, and part time estate-agent; Jo, your typical Australian travelling dreamer, virtuoso keyboard player, and occasional church-organist. Together, they’ve created one of the most beautifully compelling albums you’re likely to hear all year: MORE.
The band recently signed to the Fife-based DIY record label, Fence Records - birthing ground to The Beta Band and KT Tunstall, and home to Mercury nominee King Creosote, James Yorkston, The Pictish Trail and more.
Now the duo are coming over to the UK for a short blast of headline shows, and notable supports.
If you like the grit of The Velvets, the shuffle of The Boss, the pristine sheen of The Strokes and the sass of Leonard Cohen you’ll find plenty to love in The Shivers.
