Open Mic Event
Contact: bev.playle@ntlworld.com
Bev Playle and friends have organised this event simply because we love hearing poetry read aloud! We love all kinds of poetry - Keats to contemporary. We want to promote the performance and reading of poetry in public places and encourage people who might not think they like it, to learn to love it too!
We're aiming for a relaxed atmosphere - and there will be plenty of good poetry to hear and enjoy.
There's space too for Open Mic - anyone who wants to read/ perform should contact organiser by email, or call on 07428 116 305.
It's a really easy venue to reach - by 383 / 384 regular bus from Stockport; or 375 from New Mills; on good rail links from Manchester, via Ardwick, Brinnington, Romiley etc, and is on the Hope Valley line from Sheffield.
Price: £3.00. (£3 (£5 with sandwith supper))
Time: 7.45 for 8.00 pm start
Note: Write Out Loud does its best to ensure the accuracy of event listings but can accept no liability or responsibility if it's just plain wrong.
