London's only regular event for women writers of all genres. Hosted by Agnes Meadows
11th January 2012 at 20:00
This monbth has a unique flavor to it as it blends poetry and the visual arts to see how each acts as a springboard of inspiration to the other. First, making a welcome return to Loose Muse with her intense and highly dramatic poetry is Sarah Reilly, who will be reading some of the poetry that has been inspired by the work of our second feature, international visual artist Lorraine Clarke, who will talk about the anthropological stories, ancient rites and traditions that are the platform for her inspiration. She’ll also be bringing some of her smaller pieces, which have to be seen to be believed – a phenomenal artist and an exceptional writer coming together in a exceptional Loose Muse.
Note: Loose Muse Anthologies – the deadline for the first Anthology has now passed. But January opens the door for submissions for the next one, which will be launched in July of 2012, so you can submit any time between January and June Loose Muse events. It’s only open to women who attend Loose Muse, so you can bring your stories, poetry, play-lets, excerpts of novels, or articles on all things literary – with you, or send to me by 23 June 2012.
Price: £5.00 / £3.00
Time: 8:00pm

This is always a great evening.
Agnes seems to find a wide range of talent, of invariably good standard international and British writers. Her manner is bright and welcoming and the floor poets are definitely made to feel at home
