This is the third of our monthly poetry nights which tries to encompass all forms (or breeds) of Poetry. It's a great atmosphere and there's also a chance for you to read some of your own poetry during the open mic slot.

We haven't finalised the line up yet, but we're delighted that one of the featured poets performing on the night will be Maggie Butt.

Maggie is the author of a number of poetry collections. Recent titles include Lipstick and Petite. Her latest book Ally Pally Prison Camp. Alexandra Palace was used as a prison of war camp during the First World War. Although the 3,000 men who were interned there were of German nationality, many of them had lived and worked in England for many years and had English wives and children. The book is a collection of Maggie's poetry, letters from the prisoners of war, photographs of life in the camp and pictures by the artist George Kenner, who was one of the prisoners.
Her prize-winning poetry is widely published in magazines and
has escaped the page onto the internet, BBC Radio 4, readings,
festivals, and schools.

There'll be more guest readings and also there's an OPEN MIC spot, wherer you'll have the chance to read out your poetry to a supportive and appreciative audience.

This is our last one before Christmas and we'd love it if you could find time to come and join us.

DOORS 7.30pm, it's just £3 entrance and you can Bring Your Own Refreshments.

Price: £3.00

Time: 8:00pm
