The day before Valentine’s Day will be the launch of Thirteen Poems of Revenge, which many will look upon as the “anti-Valentine’s card”, to bestow in solidarity on any friends who have been recently jilted, or perhaps as a subtle hint to a lover who hasn’t quite been behaving themselves.

We will be holding a launch event to accompany its release, an evening that will be thoroughly vengeful from start to finish: drinks and canapés followed by a reading of the pamphlet by ourselves and local poets Robin Vaughan-Williams and Gregory Woods, who feature in it. There will also be revenge-themed Open Mic spots to round off the evening.

We are looking for local poets to read a suitable poem on the subject, so if you would like to participate then get in touch with us to book your slot at info@candlestickpress.co.uk and let us know your name and the title of your poem (a maximum of two poems per poet).

Limited free parking will be available at Diversity House, just down the road from the venue. Please come along and enjoy an evening of amusement and darkest vengeance!
