We hope you will circulate this event to your friends, colleagues and networks. The Butabika Link project urgently needs your support. The project is an educational exchange between the East London NHS foundation Trust and poorly resourced mental health services in Uganda. Mental Health workers from Uganda visit the East End’s mental health services and Trust clinicians visit and teach in Uganda, helping to develop services at Butabika, the national psychiatric hospital there and across the country. The project depends on charitable donations to maintain its services and has been commended as an example of global health partnerships.
So come and enjoy an evening of poetry and music featuring the fabulous Shedman, David Amery, along with Gavin Selerie, Frances Presley, and music from KIng Toadfish and the All Weather Riders.
The venue is situated within 5 mins walk of Dalston Kingsland, Dalston Junction and Hackney Downs stations. 6 buses stop on the doorstep - 242 (24 hr), 277 (24 hr),
236, 30, 56 and 38 / N38.
