The Poetry Business was founded in 1986 and at this event we celebrate its 25th (and a bit) year supporting poetry in the region. Representing The Poetry Business are three spell-binding and distinctive performers:
Jim Caruth won the Sheffield Prize in 2010/11, judged by Simon Armitage, and his outstanding new collection is launched tonight. 'River Wolton writes about the big subjects in a gloriously easy and accessible style' (Tribune, on her book 'Leap'), while Geoff Hattesley is a living legend or as Artscene put it 'inadequately famous' - hard-hitting and hilarious.
In addition, Peter Sansom and all three poets will read work by much-loved Sheffielder Stanley Cook, who would have been 90 this year.
