Open Mic Event

OpenMind: Bona Nochy is our 2nd seasonal LGBT OpenMind event following the success of OpenMind LGBT Special in March.

As always we'll have our OpenSpace - the open mic with a difference - some pieces don't need a mic. If you're interested in a 5 minute performance slot please contact Joshua Williams here: https://www.facebook.com/vocal.strain

We've got a top crop of LGBT artists as our guests this month.

Charlotte Henson is a decorated young poet whose recent work Pharmacopoeia covers the addictive psychological impact of life in modern society.

Jamie Harry Scrutton is Yorkshire based comedy poet who fuses a beautiful sound with a winning charm and savvy social observations.

Steph Pike fuses anarchism and poetry with beautiful raw poetics that always leaves audiences wanting more. Her book Full of the Deep Bits is exactly that, and doesn't shy away from asking probing questions of society and of ourselves.

Pink Triangle Theatre will be sharing their 'Dear Alan' short film as a homage to the late, great, Alan Turing - an inspiration to all of us, particularly LGBT people.

Our headliners for the evening are non-other than the marvellous alternative rock outfit The Zero Symphony. They delighted us as guests at OpenMind LGBT Special and are now back as headliners.

Their new single Amen Education is now available on iTunes and YouTube.
