It is always a coup when a Nobel Laureate comes to town, but we are especially delighted to be bringing Nobel Laureate and twice Booker winner JM Coetzee back to read in Norwich as part of the Worlds Literature Festival.

Coetzee is a novelist, literary critic and translator who is beloved by writers, critics and readers alike. His presence at events is rare, and always highly anticipated. His work includes Waiting For the Barbarians, Life & Times of Michael K, Boyhood, Youth, Disgrace (also a film featuring John Malkovich), Diary of a Bad Year and Summertime.

Given that Coetzee does not do many events, those that he does take part in are always electric - a must for anyone who loves writing.

He will be appearing alongside Tim Parks, famous for his wry documentation of life in Italy who will be reading from his book on meditation and illness; Teach Us To Sit Still and Australian phenomenon, Anna Funder, whose first book Stasiland was an international bestseller. She’ll be reading from All That I Am, an inspiring and tragic novel based on real events.
