Fresh Ink presents an evening of poetry and spoken word by local poets in the studio space at Hull Truck Theatre on Wednesday 4th July at 7.30pm. This evening is the culmination of a series of workshops run across the city by Write to Speak and Fresh Ink, encouraging local writers to take their words to the stage.

Produced in association with Write to Speak and thisisull.com, this event offers many of the participants their first opportunity to perform their work in public utilising the skills they have gained from the workshops.

Fresh Ink is a poetry open mic night which has attracted a cult following over the past eighteen months. Hosted by Ashley Fisher and Nicky Ellam, it has provided a platform for over a hundred performers from Hull and across the north of England.
