Join us for Bury's brand new and only regular poetry open mic!
Stemming from Bury College's theatre show, Once More with Meaning is now a night of poetry, local ale, and probably a whole lot of eccentricity, judging by the kind of people us poets associate with (namely other poets). It will be a night of two halves: open mikers all get to read one poem (two if you keep it short - let that be a lesson to you), then we wrap it up with a guest for fifteen minutes. We'll have a bit of a break, get a drink from the bar, then re-commence and do it all again!
(Please note that The Met is closed at this time on a Sunday, so entrance in through The Automatic restaurant)

SCOTT DEVON
Scott Devon is a performance poet, novelist, publisher and script writer, with an MA in Creative Writing from MMU. He is head of the neo: writers department at neo:, and the organiser of the international neo: poetryprize, which this year will be judged by SALT published Steven Waling, and from the USA former Pushcart prize nominee Howie Good.

NORMAN WARWICK
Norman Warwick, of Just Poets, designs and delivers poetry and creative workshops. A regular winner of poetry slams, he has worked in more than 300 schools across the North West and also runs creative writing sessions for adult community groups.Norm is published as a poet by Pan MacMillan and a biography, “Memoirs From Bedlam”, was published in 1999 by Boltonia Press.

This is my last month hosting Once More With Meaning, likely for the rest of 2012 since I'll be moving to London. It'd be really great to see some familiar faces there before I move away. Furthermore, I will be announcing the winner of the poetry anthology competition on the Once More With Meaning page! ]
