Allographic: Other Voices - Small Word Issue 3 launch featuring Russell J Turner

We’ve got our shiny new issue of the mag, and we’ve upped sticks and moved both kit and caboodle to The Fountain where we’re settling into a very lovely spoken word vibe.

So, what’s Other Voices then? It’s a simple concept really - a nice function room at the top of a pleasant pub, a stage, a microphone, a bunch of lovely people, and some words.

So - come and show us what you’ve got: step up to the open mic or enjoy the talent on display (ideally both, of course!). If you’re feeling shy about the stage, there'll be chances to get scribbling for our mini-poetry competition, and we’ve even got poetry amanuenses at hand if you’d like your words heard...

Our September event is going to be another corker - not only will we have our usual open-hearted open mic and other egalitarian erudition, but contributors to the magazine will be reading and exhibiting their words and pictures, and we’ll be featuring Norwich performance impressario Russell J Turner - this will be a great chance to catch them in action! :)

We’ll be recording the night for future podcasts and CDs, and we’ll be showing off issue #3 of Small Word, a poetry-short-story-photography-artwork magazine of petite loveliness that we launched in Cambridge in December
