Apples and Snakes presents
Big Talk

A carnival of spoken word and poetry with open mic, national guest poets and poetry films. Come along to experience some of the most engaging, insightful and entertaining poets in the UK share their wit and wisdom in the intimate and atmospheric setting of the Tom Thumb Theatre.

Featuring:

Jive Poetic
A New York poet and hip-hop artist who has recently released his 8th Album ‘Perpendictive’, Jive is a multiple US Slam winner, workshop leader, regular touring performer and host of World Famous Nuyorican Poetry Café Open Poetry Slam. Expect fast-flowing satire and lyrical truths from a powerful performer.

Jodi-Ann Bickley
Birmingham-born Jodi brings warmth and familiarity to spoken word like no other. She reveals her inner landscape by exploring emotions and relationships with honest charm. She also gives herself 9 ½ out of 10 for tea-making.

Compered by Rick Bolinger, the accidental pot luck Rickasaurus. Come and witness some folk ‘n’ word.
