Beeston Poets is a programme of readings by well-known poets in Beeston Library. It follows on from the 'Poets in Beeston' series which ran from 1993 for nearly twenty years.

The 2012 series concludes with Andy Croft on December 8th. Tickets are £7 (£5 concessions) and can be obtained from Beeston Library, Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1AE - in person, or by post (send cheque and SAE). Cash/cheques only.

Andy Croft's many books include Red Letter Days and Comrade Heart, a biography of Randall Swingler. He has written five novels and forty-two books for teenagers, mostly about football. He has edited several anthologies of poetry; his own collections include two novels in Pushkin sonnets, Ghost Writer and 1948, recently Nicholas Lezard's Paperback of the Week in The Guardian. He runs Smokestack Books, which publishes unconventional and radical poetry
