WORDSMITHS & CO.
The UK’s first live poetry talk show, featuring poets you know from the pages of books and from festival stages. A rare opportunity to witness them sharing stories, poems and opinions as they engage in no-holds-barred conversation right before your widened eyes.
GASP as words are made to perform daring feats of sound and meaning! Shudder as you discover how your favourite poems came to be! Cheer wildly at the apparent humanity of their creators! This is live poetry. This is not for the faint of heart. This is Wordsmiths & Co.
Jo Bell invites conversation and memorable performances from:
Inua Elams, graphic artist, writer and performance poet. His work is rooted in a love for rhythm and language, crossing 18th century romanticism and traditional story telling with contemporary diction and musicality.
Chris McCabe’s poetry collections are The Hutton Inquiry, Zeppelins and The Restructure (Salt Publishing). He has recorded a CD with The Poetry Archive and written a play Shad Thames, Broken Wharf. He works as a Librarian at The Poetry Library, London, and teaches for The Poetry School.
Ruth Larbey has been published in various magazines, Funglish (Nine Arches Press, 2010) is her debut pamphlet of poems.
Jess Green is a member of London’s Roundhouse Poetry Collective and performs regularly around London, the Midlands and the North West. Her debut collection, #romance, was published by Holdfire Press in 2012.
