RiverRuns is a spectacular night of new music and spoken word celebrating the River Tyne in all of its glory, following in the great traditions of local songsmiths and writers.
The show is an exhilarating celebration of the history and stories of the river Tyne, its people, their culture and their heritage and is often humorous, occasionally dark, sometimes irreverent and always entertaining.
Eight of the North East’s finest musicians, poets and spoken word artists have come together to create a unique evening. The show stars poet and writer Aidan Clarke, award winning crimewriter and poet Alfie Crow, singer songwriter Ben Holland, Radio 4’s Saturday Live poet in residence Kate Fox,Lead singer with the Arbour Bridie Jackson, Poet Jeff Price, singer songwriter Simma and Degna Stone writer and poet plus the 60 strong RiverRuns choir.
