Poetry by Luke Kennard and Sandeep Parmar with music by Luciano Gerber.
This is a free event and there is no need to book.
Luke Kennard is a British poet and playwright, born in 1982. His first prose-poems collection, The Solex Brothers (Stride), won him an Eric Gregory Award in 2005. His second book, The Harbour Beyond the Movie, was shortlisted for the 2007 Forward Poetry Prize Best Collection. At 26, he is the youngest nominee ever in the history of the Forward Poetry Prizes. His third collection, The Migraine Hotel, was published by Salt in 2009.
Sandeep Parmar was born in Nottingham in 1979 and raised in Southern California. She is the Reviews Editor of The Wolf magazine and edited The Collected Poems of Hope Mirrlees for Carcanet Press (2011). Penelope Shuttle wrote of her debut collection The Marble Orchard (Shearsman, 2012), “Sandeep Parmar has a fearless and innovative voice, ambitious, searching, richly-lyrical.”
Luciano Gerber

In the past 8 years, he has worked with great musicians in Manchester, and appearances include Manchester Jazz Festival, Matt and Phred's, the Contact Theatre, the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Exchange.
