Poejazzi is back with another stellar line-up transforming Tuesdays into one of the most exciting days of the week. We sold out last month and we have less tickets available this time so buy early to avoid disappointment!
Sarah Williams White - you may have heard Sarah's delicious tones on the Dan Le Sac (of Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip fame) lead solo single Play Along or on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading Festival, and you'd still only know half of the story. Decked up with keys, synths, loop pedals, a vocal effects machine and some of the best nu-R&B songs this side of Aaliyah, Sarah Williams White has made fans of Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6), John Kennedy (Xfm) and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1) and its a near guarantee she'll make one of you too.
Tshaka Campbell - Fierce, powerful, mind boggling, breathtaking, much more than a tiny bit special: it should be some form of war crime we haven't booked poet Tshaka earlier. He's going to switch all the lightbulbs in your head on.
The Insomniax - The Poetic Soundsystem - we want you to get to know the duo blending spoken word with electronic soul, dub and Hip Hop before they're no longer one of the industry's best kept secrets. Their distinctive London-centric sound has attracted features/acclaim via Dazed Digital, Boiler Room and Red Bull Studio Sessions and collaborations w/Roses Gabor and Roots Manuva. Think Andre 3000 meets Ghostpoet.
Rob Auton - The inimitable Rob Auton provides a surreal, clever, mind distorting poetry experience no spoken word lover should miss out on. You may have seen him at Edinburgh performing his show based entirely on the colour yellow or on Channel 4's Random Acts, (he's been featured twice) if not prepare yourself for a unique perspective on life.
Entry: £7/5 advance
Time: 7:30pm
