Poems, Prose and Pints are delighted to present an unsung maestro of Yorkshire’s spoken word scene. Writing in an inimitable, uncageable style, Boltini’s work is part lyrical and part surreal, suffused with off-beat humour and prowling across a vast landscape of topics. Love, sex, death, nature, dogs, religious scepticism and raw recollections of a childhood in rural Lancashire - all are likely to feature in the evening’s performance, delivered with a flair so uniquely idiosyncratic you will never forget him. Boltini is a former winner of the Ilkley Literature Festival Open Mic Competition, and for many years has been a stalwart of the Otley Poets group. He claims his greatest influences to be Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, and Jake Thackray.
