This is a welcome return for Andy Brown, Director of Creative Writing at Exeter University. His most recent book is The Fool and the Physician (Salt, 2012). Other recent books are Goose Music (with John Burnside), The Storm Berm, and Fall of the Rebel Angels. A selection of his poems appears in Identity Parade and This Line’s Not for Turning. He edited two books of correspondences with authors, Binary Myths 1 & 2, and The Allotment: new lyric poets. He is currently working on A Body of Work: poetry and medicine 1750-present (Bloomsbury/Continuum) and is project leader for Exeter’s Medical Humanities Centre. He is editing a book of essays on the poetry of Kelvin Corcoran (Shearsman, 2014). He was formerly an Arvon Centre Director at Totleigh Barton, and tutors regularly for both Arvon and the Poetry School.
Rupert Loydell is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Falmouth University, and the editor of both Stride and With magazines. His most recent publications are Wildlife (Shearsman), a book of poems, and Tower of Babel (Like This Press), an artist’s book-in-a-box which includes paintings, poems and an essay, whilst The Fantasy Kid (Salt) is a book of poems for children. He edited Smartarse, an anthology of post-lyric narrative poems for Knives, Forks & Spoons Press, and Troubles Swapped for Something Fresh, an anthology of manifestos and unmanifestos for Salt. Shearsman will publish a book of his essays and interviews this spring, and Ballads of the Alone, a book of poems about photograph and image, later in the year.
