Apples and Snakes presents
Gongoozled: Elvis McGonnagal
Gongoozled - a night of high energy topical comic poetry at the Canal Cafe.
Scourge of the airwaves or housewives’ favourite – your choice – Elvis McGonagall is best known for regaling Radio 4 listeners with scary polemic poetry when they’re trying to concentrate on their muesli. Now, at last, here’s your chance to see the regionally-accented rogue in the flesh.
Is he really as good-looking as all that? Will he be so big and tough once he’s away from a namby-pamby studio with a bowl of fruit on the table? And what has he got against that nice David Cameron anyway? All will be revealed... [insert own kilt joke here]
Also featuring a set from that youthful pretender to King Elvis’s poetic crown, the divine Vanessa Kisuule.
