A fund raising event for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
An evening of music, dance, and poetry readings by Christopher Reid, Anne-Marie Fyfe and Claire Crowther plus the prize winners of the SCJ Poetry Prizes 2013:
Details of how to enter the competition:
Themes: Childhood. Culture. Education.
Prizes: Adults £1000; £700; £300
Under 18s £250; £150; £100
15 Commendations: five adults, ten under eighteens: Book tokens
Judges: Moniza Alvi and Catherine Smith
Closing date: 30th April 2013
Winners notified by 20th May 2013
An anthology of winning poems will be published. Copyright remains with authors.
Entry fee for adults: £5 for batches of up to 3 poems (no restriction on amount of poems submitted as long as accompanied by the correct fee/s.
Under 18s free entry. Under 18s must state age.
Rules: Poems must not exceed 40 lines and must not have been published or won a competition previously. Poems must be typed on one side of paper. Poems will be judged anonymously so authors' names and addresses and contact emails must be on a separate piece of paper together with the title/s and first lines of poem/s. No poems will be returned. please indicate if you would like an acknowledgement of poems by email.
