Apples and Snakes presents
Big Talk

A carnival of spoken word and poetry with open mic, national guest poets and poetry films. A chance to experience some of the most engaging, insightful and entertaining poets in the UK sharing their wit and wisdom in the intimate and atmospheric setting of the Tom Thumb Theatre.

Featuring:

Sophia Blackwell
Performance poet and writer of one collection of poetry, two anthologised short stories and a novel. Three-time performer at Glastonbury; four Edinburgh Fringe shows; other appearances include The Big Chill, Secret Garden Party, Standon Calling, L-Fest, Wilderness and WOMAD; Literary Death Match champion; often on the radio, most recently the BBC World Service.

"If Amy Winehouse wrote poetry, she might sound like this...her work has emotional depth as well as immediate impact." DIVA Magazine

Tina Sederholm
Poet, writer and raconteur, performing at festivals, pubs, clubs and poetry nights all over the UK. Tina was a member of the winning Oxford team at the National Hammer and Tongue Slam Championships in 2013 and will be at the Edinburgh Free Fringe this year with her one woman show ‘Evie and the Perfect Cupcake’, a satirical fable about our complex relationship with food.

"Tina Sederholm continues to impress with her friendliness, humour and buckets of enthusiasm." James Webster, sabotagereviews.com
