'The Poet's Voice' - a recital
With Sue Hubbard and Sarah Hesketh
Sue Hubbard is an award- winning poet and novelist. Fay Weldon called her new novel ‘Girl in White’: ‘‘a triumph of literary and artistic understanding..’’ In her third collection of poetry ‘The Forgetting and Remembering of Air’, Sue explores the illusion of romantic love and letting go of childhood grief.
Sarah Hesketh is interested in the stories that don't get told, the voices that don't get heard. Her first collection of poetry, Napoleon's Travelling Bookshelf was full of poems about 'the people who warm up the heroes afterwards.' Sarah campaigns for the rights of writers around the world and is currently poet in residence with Age Concern.
